OnStove.calibrate_urban_rural_split(GHS_path: str)[source]#

Calibrates the urban rural split using spatial data from the GHS SMOD dataset.

The GHS dataset is used to determine which settlements are urban and which are rural in the analysis. Areas that have coding of either 30, 23 or 22 are considered urban, while the rest are rural. It saves the values of the dataset in the IsUrban column of the main GeoDataFrame (gdf). The urban - rural calibration is important when determining current stove uses as well as whe calibrating population.
